Khloé Kardashian opened up about co-parenting and future family plans with ex Tristan Thompson, while addressing rumors he was pushed into getting a vasectomy after her alleged ultimatum.
The 41-year-old reality star and Good American co-founder sat down with Thompson, 35, for a candid conversation about their relationship, his vasectomy, and the embryos they previously created together. During the episode, the pair reflected on the choices they’ve made surrounding family planning while also discussing where they currently stand as co-parents.
Thompson, who shares daughter True, 8, and son Tatum, 2, with Kardashian, revealed that if he ever decides to have more children in the future, it would only happen with her.
“Do you wanna have more kids in the future?” Kardashian asked during the conversation.
“I think I signed off for two embryos,” Thompson replied. “So, I mean, if I do have more kids, it’d be coming from you. I already have enough baby moms. Don’t want no more.”
Thompson is the father of four children with three different women. Along with the two children he shares with Kardashian, he is also dad to son Prince, 9, with ex Jordan Craig and son Theo, 4, with Maralee Nichols.
Kardashian joked that she played a major role in helping Thompson make the decision to undergo a vasectomy.
“And who helped you fix that decision? That was me. Tristan may have had a little ultimatum from me,” she said.
Thompson responded, “What? Getting neutered..? Sometimes you gotta lay them nuts on the table….I’ve been a little hardheaded at times … I wish I wasn’t as stubborn.”
He added, “Sometimes you have to get forced into the right decision.”
The conversation quickly drew attention online, particularly because of Thompson’s openness about his past relationships and growing family. While the former NBA player has often made headlines for his personal life, Kardashian appeared to keep the tone of the interview lighthearted despite their complicated history together.
Although Thompson has undergone a vasectomy, more children are not completely off the table. During the episode, he revealed that he legally signed over the rights to the embryos he created with Kardashian, meaning she ultimately has control over whether they are ever used.
“You signed them over to me anyway, so I legally own them,” Kardashian confirmed during the episode.
“No more kids, unless it’s coming from Khloé’s embryos,” Thompson added.
Kardashian and Thompson have had an on-and-off relationship over the years, with much of their personal life playing out publicly. The pair first began dating in 2016 and welcomed their daughter True in 2018. However, their relationship faced several public cheating scandals that repeatedly put their romance under scrutiny.
Despite the ups and downs, the two eventually welcomed their second child, son Tatum, via surrogate in 2022 after initially planning to expand their family together.
The former couple officially split for good in 2021. Shortly afterward, news broke that Thompson was expecting another child with Nichols. Reports at the time stated that Kardashian and Thompson were still romantically involved when Theo was conceived, sparking another wave of headlines surrounding the athlete’s personal life.
According to a source, Kardashian and Thompson were dating when Nichols became pregnant. The revelation became a major topic in entertainment news at the time, especially after Thompson publicly admitted paternity following a legal battle.
Since their breakup, Kardashian and Thompson have focused primarily on co-parenting their two children. While the pair are no longer together romantically, they have often spoken publicly about maintaining a positive family dynamic for the sake of True and Tatum.
During the podcast episode, their chemistry and comfort with one another were noticeable, with both exchanging jokes and openly discussing sensitive topics from their past. Though Kardashian has previously been candid about the hurt she experienced during their relationship, the interview suggested the two are now in a more stable place as co-parents and friends.
